Again that is conjecture on both sides of the coin. More to the point impossible because a planet as far as I know can't have two cores but I digress. However people will believe whatever they want and they are fee to do so. But last time I checked humans still suffer at the hands of illness, brutality and natural disasters so in all honesty does it matter? Whatever the moon was, it is not alive anymore. Or at least as far as we know. More to the point is this. Moons can have many origins. It can be a body that was captured by the gravitation of another body, it can be two planets one gained mass the other lost mass. It can be a planet that somehow birthed a large lump of rock? Fine but it doesn't change what is happening and going to happen. Here is a question for you, If the earth loses its moon "and check the data on this because it is slowly happening" what will sea life look like in 50 years? More importantly what will the impact be 50 years from that event? If global warming can have such a profound impact on this planet imagine what the impact will be when we lose our moon. See we have this idea that dumping stuff in space and sending stuff into the sun is a good idea. However the sun is a very powerful self regulating reactor. What happens to that reaction if the moon somehow gets pulled into it? Most if not all of it will burn up... Right what about the stuff that can't burn? What about the stuff that can survive massive temperatures? How will that effect the function of our star? Truth is, it might actually kill the sun... Have you considered that us "earth" losing it's moon can trigger the final countdown for humanity and all the planets around us? Truth is, how much life was before us that witnessed such an event and could do nothing to save itself. See for humanity to survive we need need to become race that has the ability to leave the solar system AND survive it. Why? Because the lump of rocks we call home might not be here for very long. That is not speculation. We know for a fact the sun is counting down, We know for a fact the earth is losing its moon "very slowly" and we know for a fact that viruses and bacteria along with many other elements both living and none living is killing us... So why fight about it? Perhaps it is time to put down the argument and start looking for solutions. Because we need solutions more then anything else. Science will correct itself, we WILL know the TRUTH the answers WILL be KNOWN to the world. But it is time to start looking for it and stop worrying about what is essentially speculation at this point.
