Extinction of Ancient Aliens

Maybe ancient aliens existed but they went extinct for some reason or the other, perhaps they were our ancestors. Eventually humans might go extinct but what kind of life form might come about after humans go extinct? What if it is a cycle of extinction events that lead to new life like the extinction of the dinosaurs that paved the way for humans. My best guess is that many new life forms will form right here on Earth and evolve into something much more greater than humans. Instead of looking for extraterrestrial life elsewhere, we should be focusing more on finding new life right here on Earth. Maybe Earth is a gateway, a portal, or wormhole, that connects the whole entire universe together. Earth must be something more SPECIAL than just a planet!

What are your thoughts about this idea?

Very interesting theory. The biggest problem with all sorts of theories is that if you wait long enough, eventually all the evidence of that civilization will disappear. One day, maybe in a million years, Stonehenge (for example) will crumble and be buried. So ultimately, there's no way we'd ever know. But it's possible. It may explain some aspects of our ancient mythology.
