The other day, a local business had a technological outage that lasted for about 1 hour. Their online services didn’t work for everyone, it was unstable for a short while. That happens, right?
Naturally, they posted an update on Facebook to let people know they were working full-time on the issue. Then for some reason, I looked at the comments. What a mistake…
I saw a couple of comments here and they were related to the outage. “Again?”, “Oh no!”, “Is it fixed already?”, “Nah, still down…” and people tagging each other to share the news. Fine.
But most of the comments were just plain bashing. Weird and sad people telling them they’re shit, they’re thieves, they’re government puppets, their IT people suck. Wow!
It summed up pretty well what Facebook is. A cesspool. Crazy-ass stuff 99.99% of people wouldn’t say in real life, because they’d sound retarded.
Most of these keyboard warriors, Internet tough guys, are grown adults in their 40s, 50s, or 60s. Man… It baffles me.
Let alone the fact they do all this with an account that features their name, photo and expose their family members. Mind blown…
