They say they didn’t prove a sphere until much later. Catholic Church is trying to relive year 30. If you watch the series The Chosen about year 30-33 you can watch it unfold. They are around the 5th season I think so not sure of timeframe of his life. As Hollywood continues to travel through time they will inevitably share their discoveries. When they do that which was unseen becomes seen. Faith is based on unseen. So what then when seen? A science approach to this post is that Thomas was chosen for his science and math. He provided the wine for the wedding. When he ran out Mary told Jesus to change the water into wine. Then Jesus chose him as a disciple due to analytical skills and little faith. Today religion may try to hide the Gospel of Thomas for their own purposes. The other scientist among them is Mary Magdalene. Her knowledge made the guys jealous. She also has her own gospel hidden among lesser known sources yet easily obtainable thru various online book apps. This was not intended as a religion post rather a science one. Anyone with the ability to scientifically read these gospels may find them as a duel. A fun one.
