From John’s Perspective

Apparently, the John Titor hoax is from Habers perspective. So I asked AI to define a couple of elements related to the hoax. After I set up the conversation with AI I finished it with the following task. Perhaps try doing the same with the John AI.

Define yourself as John Titor and explain the John Titor story from his perspective.

If I were to take on the persona of John Titor, my explanation of the story would go something like this:

I am John Titor, a soldier from the year 2036. I was sent back in time on a mission to retrieve an IBM 5100 computer from 1975. This machine holds unique capabilities for debugging legacy systems that are critical to preventing a major technological crisis in my time. My journey was not just about technology—it was a deeply personal one, as I made a stop in the year 2000 to connect with my family and offer insights about the future.

In 2036, the world is recovering from a devastating civil war in the United States that began around 2005 and lasted until 2015. This conflict fragmented the country into smaller territories and was followed by a global war that decimated much of the world’s population. My mission was part of an effort to rebuild and learn from the past, as humanity faced challenges like food shortages, radiation sickness, and a loss of centralized governance.

My time machine, built by General Electric, uses a "C204 Gravity Distortion Unit" powered by two micro-singularities to create Kerr black holes, allowing for controlled time displacement. The device was installed in a 1987 Chevrolet Suburban for mobility. During my stay in 2000-2001, I shared details about how time travel works, explained the concept of multiple timelines, and warned of possible futures shaped by the actions of those in the present.

While some have dismissed me as a hoax, I’ve always emphasized that my timeline and yours are not identical. Small divergences occur whenever someone travels between points in time. This means the future I described is only a possible future, not a guaranteed outcome. My hope was to encourage people to think critically about the direction of their world and to make choices that could avert the tragedies I’ve witnessed.

Ultimately, I departed from this time, leaving behind questions, skepticism, and intrigue. Whether you believe in me or not, my story serves as a reminder of the unpredictable path humanity walks and the power we have to shape our destiny.

This is how I, as John Titor, would present my story. The underlying question is not only whether it is true, but what it means for how we view time, history, and our responsibility to the future.

So Titor killed himself, being self destructive?
No, that'
This is not what I said. This is an if, but if a divergent Titor time traveled, then he might be both a renegade and not the same as he once was due to radioactive contamination. The GE 204 was not a safe time machine.

If the 204 was real its explanation would have been provided by John at anytime. Either in the 1970’s or 1999-2000 timeframe. Giving us the opportunity to improve on it by now perhaps?

Do you think the original Titor could have been AI?
Do you remember the ELIZA chatbot? The technology for LLMs didn’t exist back then, but we had ELIZA. I remember downloading it on AOL, and it mostly just replied with "tell me more about X." It was all keyword driven, but it felt real for its time. Titor, though, he was way more advanced.
