Over the half century of reading/writing about the paranormal, I have, along with others, have divide "ghosts" into several types, Some are "stuck in time" and continue to do the same actions the were doing at the time of their death, some are stuck to a general area, such as a family home, a battlefield, a spot of importance to them when they were alive, and they simply won't pass on, other can't or won't or know how to cross over. Some simply enjoy being around we humans, relatives, especially, and show up at time to just "look in" other pass by as if still doing a job they did in life. I treat each that does choose to interact with respect, and just listen to what is said and reply in kind. They are what they are and we mortal have to accept it and simply let it go when encountered.
