The main reason why this is unlikely is that it is natural for a couple who has broken up recently to still be thinking about each other. Sometimes people change their mind and regret the decision that they made. This perspective is far more likely than the speculation that the psychic actually worked.
My main concern is: if there were psychics who could change someone's mind, why would you exploit that? Everyone should be allowed the power to make decisions independently without some sort of supernatural force changing the outcome. If some guy wanted to legitimately break up with you because he didn't feel like it was a good match, why can't you respect that decision? Going to a psychic to reverse a break-up makes you come across as desperate, as well as a control freak.
I agree that many people believe that psychics are supposed to change their lives as if they were God. They are supposed to see the future. If they could change it, the world would be a different place.
