I totally agree with you that the real fairies are dangerous, if they are wanting to claim their "chosen one" to live with them forever ..
Captain Jack in this short Torchwood clip (The Chosen One), has to let the little girl go and live with them, or risk millions of lives all around the world...She is very very happy to go and be with them
