If you brought a camera with you when you went time travelling. Would people believe that the pictures you took are real?

It depends on what information was in the pictures. Proof of travel would be in the form of post-event information moving to a pre-event point. A picture is only one medium.

No because one: they're expecting something at that time period when you're using a modern device at that point in time in the same locations. They'll be expecting it with the technology they used at that time and think it's too modern when in reality, it's all pretty much the same.

If you show them a photograph on a computer screen during the middle ages, they'll believe it's real. Unfortunately for you, they'll also believe you're in league with Satan and burn you at the stake.

It is nice to see you understand why a camera or any other items would get you killed.

Maybe burrying it and digging it up later in the future would convince. Then tell them you took a picture and burryed it.Then you tell them the spot where you buried it. Then you need to carbon date it.

This is Key:

Proof/evidence of time travel is principled on post event information moving to a pre-event point, whatever the medium. The authenticity and integrity of it is in the information contained within the picture. It is about the information relative to a time line. The picture is merely the medium of transmission.

If a faked or altered document or picture(illegitimate medium) had a real prediction(legitimate info of after-fact to before) in it, the authenticity of the medium(pic or doc.) is not necessarily in question. The information (of after-fact to before) is.

For example; If you found a photograph that you could authenticate as coming from the 1950's, then discovered it was a 35mm. close-up of another photo; a digital photo that had been altered and faked, ..it is still proof/evidence of time travel because digital photos and editing didn't exist then.

See it as a picture of digital technology, see the logic, not only whatever the picture is. Digital technology (info of after) travels to 1950's (to before) and is recorded (35mm. photo of digital photo).

C: 1950's Pic of A
A: Digital technology
B: Travel back to C

Seeing C to A, from point A, is proof of B.

person that does not believe in time travel where to dig. Then you can carbon date it.
