Is the Rock Group YES from the future

People have often said that if they had a time machine they would go back in time and sing todays #1 songs before they were a hit and thus get fame and fortune by stealing the future work of someone else.

Is it possible that the rock group YES has done this? A lot of their songs are about time. Here is an excerp from there 1972 album, the song, I've Seen All Good People:

'Cause it's time is time in time with your time and
its news is captured...

Send an instant comment to me
Initial it with loving care
(Don't surround yourself)

They are singing about TIME and INSTANT MESSAGES and possibly paradoxes (DON'T SURROND YOURSELF). INITIAL it with loving care? Aren't most instant messages initialed? ITS NEWS IS CAPTURED (newsgroups)

Now this is from 1972! Is this a coincidence or are they rubbing our noses in it?

Here are some other song titles from YES:

Astral Travelor
Machine Messiah
Perputual Change
Starship Trooper
High The Memory
The Revealing Science of God
Time And A Word
Turn Of The Century

I am still looking, but I swore that one of their producers was even named....BBORIS!!!!

Well, I cannot tell you whether they're from the future or not. But they are, without a doubt, my favorite band....... ;) Gary

Don't surround yourself with yourself is about chess.
I'm pretty sure. But anyway, your theory is very interesting.

You do of course have to take into conisderation the *time* that they were producing music. It was actually a very mystical age for people that hung out on the left of things, (drugs, meditation, etc.)

I do believe that it's possible that Pink Floyd are alien visitors, or did have some secretive alien knowledge.
"saucerful of secrets"? If you google through Floyds stuff enough, you can find the theories, I'm almost done with work tonight, and a little tipsy from my beer, but it's interesting no. What about the "pyramid" on the dark side of the moon. And the FACT that it's called "dark side of the moon"?

There's much more to that.

What about Emerson Lake and Palmer.

And did the band CAKE sell their souls to the Devil. Is that another thread or can I explore that here?

Well Boris does claim to have first arived in the 70's, but I believe during that time he was still wandering as an outcast and feeling very out of sorts.

Dont forget Uriah Heep and Deep Purple and or Ronnie Dio. And I could go on.
Those bands all were bitten and smitten by the "NEW AGE" bug re: ideas and direction. The dark arts or Witchcraft held reign for some bands also. Black Sabbath for one.

It's so amazing that OZZY is still alive after all his band has been through. He has lost some Giants music talent wise (but so has the world)

Back in those days they pretty much had free reign in lyrics and direction of sound.
Commercialism runs the show these days.

I can say that Yes was one of my favorite groups to study to.

Hack: the dark side of the moon I believe is in reference to a ancient abandoned base that is there.

It's funny. People come out and straight up say things all the time and are ignored or the words are written off as "jibberish". But put those same words to music and song and suddenly there is some hidden meaning behind it all.
