Marijuana Laws

Irresponsible people are going to do irresponsible things. I say, don't blame the plants for people's behavioral flaws.

Okay, now that I'm off the soap box, I agree with pretty much everything you've all said, except for the munchies bit. If the only effect of marijuana was making you hungry, it wouldn't be illegal, much less interesting for anyone except recovering anorexics...

And from what I've always understood, tobacco and alcohol have been easy to tax because they're hard to make. Marijuana, on the other hand, is rather simple.

And everyone who wanted it would just grow their own.
 
I believe in California you can grow a certain amount of plants...I was watching "COPS" a few months back, and a woman was calling 911 because her neighbor stole her pot plants, and the cops actually helped her get it back! They said "If this had happened 10years ago, we'd be locking her up, now we're helping her to get her pot back."
