Sadly the guy that played Chef was a scientologist which is why he quit the show

i think there was more to it than that that was one of many reasons
and he tried to downplay that and say that wasn't really why
but Trey and Parker suspect he got swallowed up by scientology.

but the thing about south park is that what made it great
was they made fun of literally everyone so there's no real reason
to be offended by it
