Missing time during Meditation

Meditation, I would guess, is specific to the individual. For me, if I have a real time 45 minutes/1 hour session, it feels like about 15 minutes have passed. So time seems to speed up. This has always been the case for me and I accept it as a fact that it is either the same for everyone or is specific to me but eitherway it is normal for me and my experience.

Today I performed meditation in a usual place. It seemed to me to last 15 minutes or so, so I guessed that in real time maybe 45 minutes had passed. As I sat up and looked at my personal time piece it said 19 minutes had elapsed. I thought this strange that I had actually had a real time experience but accepted it eventhough I was frustrated to have achieved only a short meditative state.

I went downstairs for something to eat and saw that infact 45/50 minutes (approximately) had elapsed on the kitchen clock. I checked my personal timer and this was working correctly. So why had only 19 minutes passed during meditation local to where I was but outside of that bubble 45/50 minutes had gone by. Had time locally to where I had meditated somehow slowed down? I am a rational man but I am at a loss as to what happened. My personal timer has never gained or lost time before and is functioning correctly now, so the only possibilities are that I've read the digital read out incorrectly and somehow read 49 minutes as 19 (unlikely but a possibility), random machine malfunction or there has been some local time disruption.

I would be interested to hear any similar meditation experiences?

I have also experienced that during meditation. But only in deep meditation id loose track of time. Also i noticed that wen im doing reiki while in deep state of meditation, i dont get tired no matter how late it is but then wen i get up i feel exhausted (if its really late at night).
As far as your timer im not sure about that.

Oh. And i also wanted to add that i hv also experienced that in life as well. I try to be in the moment etc i focus on the now and the more i do the faster time seems to fly... Sometimes i think of my age and it feels weird to me. I feel younger :P

I take it that by the time you got downstairs and looked at the kitchen clock, your wrist watch was reading the same time as the kitchen clock?
If so there is a possibility that you had an increase in your body electromagnetism causing your wristwatch to slow down, and by the time you got downstairs it had caught up with the kitchen clock :)

Correct. I Think....In deep meditation, the conscious level of time keeping goes away...

In deep meditation...when you are in to it heavily...you connect to your alter level entity some called spirit...then the fun begins...it takes a while...It took me two years...I can not tell you what it is...but you will feel it...big time.

Remember, your big brother (or sister for ladies) has many years of life...like 50,000 to 250,000...that knows more and may help you on lives issues....so, stay connected...stay in-sync...Thank you.

In case some people do not get it...please read Dalai Lama's rebirth at Google...you will get it...

I have experienced many many things during meditation. Its really amazing :)
I've heard of ppl talking about Nirvana also. That's one of the things. Another examples could be feeling like you're the entire universe and other times feeling small like a bug (i guess that has to do with expanding and contracting of the spirit) also feeling like ur pure spirit with no body lifing in the air and spinning (i was told depending on which direction you spin in you can tell if your chakras are aligned. If you spin with the direction of your chakras that's a good sign) but i could never tell which was which tbh. There's more stuff but i like to keep some secrets :P
I really enjoyed reading your post Krish. Do you have any threads on those topics? Thx

Thank you...I am thinking to stay away for a while...as I put in too many information but did not find many jumping in to it...so, let the stuff put out... sink in for a while....I think you can check my posts...do not know the methods...

I was enjoying Ancient Aliens the whole set today at History Channel...some items are true but a lot are speculations...interesting stuff...

If you start a thread and invite me via private message or put my name...I will see that...and we can debate or discuss...whatever you want...and Num7 will love that...

I do not think there are very many websites that have strong stuff that we have here...so, perhaps we can push this one very well across the globe...your choice...

But the link to connect is slow from USA...wonder what is going on...Thank you...

Not wrist watch. Timer is on iPhone, a digital display which makes it even more curious.

Thank you all for the interesting replies :)

That pesky electromagnetism we all have can upset electrical systems even in your iPhone SP...not just analogue watches ;):D
