Here is another thing
"Hypothetically"
We apply some principles and reason. If your a US military officer and your given an order you know to be illegal then your obligated to disobey the illegal order.
So.... if this order is an illegal order... wouldn't it be something that I might be obligated to disobey?

This is what the Army has to deal with today! The US ARMY! But if you had orders from some LATER time period. You go back in time! See the same commander! What would you do??? Me, the right thing!

It would depend again: Following an illegal order is the wrong thing, so as a soldier I would have a obligation to disobey
