I’d say a prediction is based of analytics and trends, a mere probabilistic pronouncement. A prophecy is stated in full knowledge of what is and what has been and what is to be. What do you think?
Prophets (at least in the Old Testament sense) were not simply predictors of future events, they were also social critics. Indeed, for most of them, speaking "truth to power" was more important to them than predicting the future.
