Perhaps people can describe in detail what happened.

I can say that on many other timelines Ronald Reagan is dead.
His funeral was a great big deal on television,
with a movie marathon of \"Reagan\" movies;
still in this timeline he is alive, barely...

President Gore gave a speech about the great American
actor, union leader, and former president.

Many individuals also remember the passing away of Steven Hawkings,
an event that has not yet taken place on this line.

How vivid are these memories of other timelines?

John,

You made some kind of post about a time line you were on where Ronald Reagan had died, and they made a big deal about it running mathons of his movies and what not.

Well today.

Reagan dies
Former President Ronald Reagan -- who led a conservative revolution that set the economic and cultural tone of the 1980s, hastened the end of the Cold War and revitalized the Republican Party -- died Saturday aged 93. \"During the years of President Reagan, America laid to rest an era of division and self-doubt, and, because of his leadership, the world laid to rest an era of fear and tyranny,\" President Bush said.

Could you find that post you made yesterday. This is very surreal.

Sooo, did anyone stateside see a marathon of Reagan movies when he passed? I know it was said that this occured on another timeline as well but I don't think it is at all shocking that he passed and that they his life would be celebrated in this way.

Yeah there were marathon movies and such and quite a big deal was made about it. More so than normal president deaths. It maybe be though there really hasn't been all that many presidential deaths in my life time though. I think one thing is that Reagan is seen as some what of a corner stone in republican politics much in the way that FDR is seen in democrat politics.

Wait till Schwartznegger Goes through office (by that time I am sure they will figure out a way to let him be president) and passes away. Talk about movie marathons.

One reason the funeral and activities were so major for Ronald Reagan is because he had a "state funeral" befitting a President. Nixon did not by his own request.

They have been trying to push the "Arnie Amendment" through Congress, which repeals the Constitutional requirement of natural citizenship for the presidency.

While Reagan was president, they tried to repeal the Amendment setting term limits for the office so that he could run for a third term. He had already lost his mental faculties by the end of his last term (if not before).

There was a movement to run Charlton Heston, while Heston was the popular head of the NRA, but he fell victim to Alzheimer's before the idea took off.

Jesse Ventura and Arnold played together in Predator along with Carl Weathers, and a wag has suggested that Weathers should be the next one to be elected governor of some State or other.

Mention of actors being president, including Reagan, is a favorite recurring detail in time travel movies, I think because it remains a weird fact that he was elected, and ran two terms of office off of a teleprompter: it's one of the things that convinces us subconsciously that we are in a timeline alternate to another, more ordinary one.

Paul,

I get that same feeling each time I eat at a Dennys. Alternate realities begin when the soup runs out of everything and all that is left is the broth and you are lucky enough to be sitting in the next booth when a Tremendous type lady starts to berate the server that "there is nothing in my soup"......... you get the picture.

"Say the magic word, the duck pops down and you win a hundred dollars"

If this country had its act together they would immediately not stop at go, not go to jail, not watch the slime oozing out from the TV set but pull out all the stops and see to it that "Larry, the cable guy" gets on the very next ticket for president.

If Chris Rock was white, a cracker, re: redneck loaded for Bear and Not a single soul was safe, he would be Larry the cable guy. I have to say it, Chris Rock used to be my hero. Move over Chris, there be a new boy in town.

Chock full of true grit, salient humor, more common sense than God gave a coalition of panhandlers at a penny pitching convention, down home decent honesty that would cause a politician to pucker. You may want to visit the restroom before you watch him- word to the wise.

LARRY THE CABLE GUY FOR PRESIDENT!!!!!! HUZAAAH!!

Hi! My name is Larry The Cable Guy! To make a long story long, I was born in the back of an El-Camino during a Foghat concert many years ago! My mother was normal mother just like anybodys. She cooked, cleaned, kissed us goodnight, and was an Elvis impersonator on weekends! She actually looked more like the girl that played \"Ralph The Carpenter\" on Green Acres than Elvis, but she loved Elvis and actually sounded a little like him when she sang \"Teddy Bear\". She never won a contest, however one time no one else showed up and she took 3rd. My father saw action in World War II, Korea, Vietnam, the Falklands, and a Wal-Mart in Jackson, Mississippi! He lost a leg in a car accident in 1986. He rolled over three times and wound up in a ditch, and that was just walking to the car! He's been sober ever since, and since he only has one leg, he's been working at a brewery making hops!

I grew up in a good Christian home, I love freedom, the United States of America, Miss September and making boobs out of Playdough! I do political social commentaries on radio stations throughout America, and on this very web page! I started on a station in Tampa Bay and have been adding more stations every year! People ask me two questions. Number one, why are you called \"The Cable Guy\" and number two, how many licks does it take to get to the Tootisie roll center? Number one, I'm called Larry The Cable Guy cause my name's Larry and I used to install cable. Number two, forty five, unless your Rosie O'Donnell, then you just eat the stick all in one crunch. I ran for president in '92, '96, and am currently running again. I also ran for state senate in Florida, but ran outa money at a strip club in Daytona Beach! I'm the only candidate that tells it like it is! I feel that if you don't address the problems with true talk, then nothing will ever get solved. Nowadays the candidates talk the talk, but when it comes to walkin the walk, they trip and stumble like Ray Charles in a pumpkin patch!

I don't believe in solving problems by throwin money at them. I think political correct people are not solving problems but part of the problem and creating more! I believe I just pooped my pants! I believe in less government and more state control! I believe people should take personal responsibility. I believe all the telletubbies is queer, not just the purple one! I believe in the right to bear arms! Not only against scumbag criminals, but also against a tyrannical government! I believe my speling sucks! I believe Mary-Ann was a better piece of ass than Ginger! I believe that we are gradually losing personal freedoms and that if this trend continues, we will be living in a world of corporate socialism! I believe in a strong military, the Dukes Of Hazzards, and that chicken fried steak and gravy taste better than a cheerleader on game day! (I apologize) I believe the media stirs the fires of racism for ratings, and that they have sold there soul and this country out for their own gain! I believe Jesse Jackson, janet reno, Ted Turner, and the New Hollywood squares are all spawned from the devil himself! (Notice Janet Reno doesn't even deserve capital letters) I believe in free speech, especially 900 numbers!

My fellow Americans, remember, the more we become dependent on government as mommy and daddy, the more government has you under their authority just like mommy and daddy! I believe in America, and I believe in the people that live in it, and I believe if you don't like my site, than you're a commie and you need to get your fat ass off it!!

That's my story and my beliefs. I'm not racist, I'm not hateful, and I'm not homophobic! I'm just a concerned commentator wondering what happened to the free America that my forefathers fought and died for! Git-R-Done and GOD BLESS MY FANS AND THIS COUNTRY!!

Larry is fantastic. If you haven't seen the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, you're missing out.
