I read that article. They left out what the actual data says. What the data clearly shows is there appear to be bands of attraction and repulsion depending on distance and probably strength of field. Kind of like the shells around an atom, except on a larger scale.

Well the whole universe is based on like attracts like principles of resonance, but honestly i've no idea how that effects individual particles like this. This reality is one of polarization. Makes me think of the search for the monopole though..
