I heard that the solar storm would come to earth and knock out most of our electricity in Earth. Internet would be disconnected and computers would mostly be offline.

Is it something that would lead to the apocalypse.

Another Kerrington Event is due, but who knows when. Power would be knocked out, copper comms lines would probably be fried, but most electronics would survive just fine. Some would think it's the end of the world as they couldn't get on social media. If enough power lines are knocked out, a lot of people would die. Most humans can't live without power anymore. The big cities would be hit the worst.
