Solid vs Photon

Stem cells from what I understand are programmable cells in human biology or anatomy. Is there a comparable stem cell in regard to inanimate mass or objects?

Mass or solids or whatever word you want to use can not travel at the speed of light but photons can. Are there any concepts of somehow converting a solid particle into a photon or something along that frame of mind so that its photonic form can travel at the speed of light? I’m not a scientist so I don’t know really what I am talking about. Comically can you make a non photon identify as a photon? Humans identify themselves with other things than themselves often so just applying that idea.

Maybe it’s not the item or particle. Maybe it’s to do with the environment it is in. Probably the wormhole concept. Solid speed lane vs a photon speed lane?

Do all things have their own form of DNA term used loosely to describe what that is even if it’s not a particle or particle based thing, like the speed of light itself. It’s an abstract thought I guess. In imitation game movie, a simple conversation lead to a chain of events leading to the solution. So again abstract. Not sure of the path of that thought or inspiration.
