Spirits and time

It is said quite a bit that time has no meaning in the spirit realm when one crosses over. So I am wondering, has anyone ever bothered to even ask a spirit about anything time or time travel related and got an answer?

In one of the books I read by Dr. Michael Newton on reincarnation and life between lives states that some spirits can interact or see with possible futures and sometimes the past in some cases. At least what time seems to be in the physical realm..

In 2 Peter 3:8 says, " one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day". I belive once you cross over into spirit, your physical concerns dead in the grave, you are able to perceive and live time in this manner.
