If we should propose the situation in which President Bush is alone in a room, and without a microphone, receiver, or other prompting or broadcast device; and thus has no one and nothing to provide verbal material; and further propose that he should speak; in that case, has anything in fact been said by him, or would it be the case instead that there would be a scarcely-audible droning hum, or chirp, unless Cheney should try to break in to provide material, in which case there would be a muffled cussing together with the futile chirp of the president?
