A "curio" is basically a weird piece of garbage that you can't quite convince yourself to throw away, in case it might turn out to be somehow important, which is doubtful.
If you accumulate enough curios, eventually you have to get a "curio cabinet", so that visitors can ask "What the hell is all this weird crap?"
