About 30 years ago, some bright boys decided that "UFO" was just too easy to understand, so they started using "UAP" instead. But "Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena" is a fairly recent and stupid mutation, it cooks down to "Unknown Unknown Phenomena", which is quite dreadful and dumb.
