Time Travel Lotto Experiment

For what it's worth: I have tried muscle testing and dowsing for stocks and for lotto numbers. Neither worked at all. What has worked: Learning technical and fundamental analysis and investing in stocks based upon these things, and having a longer time frame. There is no such thing as "get rich quick" in the stock market. Lotto is pure luck, and the odds are way against you. If you are in it because you hate your job and want to get rich so you can quit, you are going to lose money. I know this from experience in my own past. Not only does it not work for stocks, if you play lotto or invest with this mindset, it is negative, and the Law of Attraction is not working in your favor in this scenario. You are guaranteed to lose money. I'd forget about the lotto if I were you.

If you are in it for a longer time frame and invest in either growth stocks or dividend paying stocks, and only buy stocks with a positive EPS (earnings per share) - meaning that they are making, not losing, money - then yes, you will, long term, make money. My favorite type of investing is doing DRIPs - Dividend Reinvestment Plans. Buy a stock in a company that is making a lot of good, steady money and pays a good, high, and STEADY dividend, and watch your money grow month after month. Add more money and buy more shares in your account every month, as you are able. In a couple of years, you will be surprised how much money you will have accumulated in your account. You won't be buying a house on the beach and quitting your job with it (not yet anyway - that takes a while), but you will have a very nice nest egg building up, and you can use THE DIVIDENDS - not even your principal (the money you put in originally) - if you have to for an emergency instead of paying interest on a credit card. This is how most people who are successful at investing do it. Think about it like this: If your stocks are paying you $300 a month in dividends, you can use that to pay for the emergency car repairs or vet bill for your dog instead of charging up $3000 on your credit card and paying 30% interest and staying in debt literally FOREVER on it. And if you do hate your job, stop wasting time there. Find something you like to do at a place where they treat you well, and work there. Go back to school and get a 1 or 2 year certificate or degree if you have to, and do something better. Life is too short to be miserable, or work for jerks that don't treat you right. Hope this helps.

Not trying to ruin the fun, but here is my stance.

1. The numbers would be different in every timeline
2. The time traveler needs to know where you live, use resources to travel and look it up, and then return
3. Why would the time traveler even do it in the first place? I wouldn't.
4. Intention and emotions have A LOT to do with what you'll get back. Watch Dark Matter.
