Here is a joke for humour:

You have some people who pretend that they are time travel scientists and that they have invented a time travel device that actually works and that they need a person to experiment it on and so you hook up this fake device to the person who thinks they are actually going to travel through time, and see what happens.😆😂

I seen a YouTube video a while back with the same theme you just described. Of course I just did a search for it, and it is no where to be found.
