If I need to go back to the past ASAP and stay there permanently, how should I go about doing that? This is important.

I am trying to figure out the same thing.

you would need to bring silver and gold. You can sell for currency. You need to find a way to communicate to your loved ones that are living now. You might be able to do that with time capsules and notes.

lets say you are missing. you leave a note with your family to digg in place xyz if you have been gone for more than 3 months.
