Greek author Homer wrote the Odyssey about an epic voyage.

Achilles sat on the shore and looked out to the wine-dark sea. Except that the sea is blue or cyan. It is not the color of wine. That would be like me saying that my blood is green. Instead our blood is red or crimson. Why was Homer wrong? Certainly, we can ponder this enigma. Greek Scholars do claim that Homer was blind and could not see. Other say that he was color blind and had a limited perception of the chromatic spectrum we use.
