Don't worry. Most new titles are mass-market garbage designed to nickel and dime you. Were it not physically falling apart, I'd still be using my laptop from like...2010 or so. Even with my new laptop, I only really stick to old titles. I think the most recent game I have is from 2009.I'm addicted to Quake and its add-ons.
Also like Num, I've recently been checking out DOOM Add-Ons....And having me arse handed back to me!
(I'm poor..So, I don't have an actual PS or etc. Just a humble little Lenovo ideaPad3)
These games seem to not crash me out of them...But the add-ons make them an entirely different experience for today's standards.

Edit: Also, if you like old old titles like Quake and Doom, you can get The House of the Dead for free online. It's literally like...130MB, and a lot of fun. It's an arcade rail shooter.
