This little gator was either caught in a trap or was sliced by a boat and her top jaw is gone. She was rescued and just sent to Gatorland for recovery. The vet said she's severely malnourished. They fed her meat with a stick and she was able to swallow, so she should be in good hands, now. She gets her own habitat because she can't defend herself. They asked people online what they should name her, and I suggested HOPE --- and guess what, that name is on the list of possibilities! I may have named her!
I want to meet her, so if I named her, I'm going to ask them if I can see her personally when I visit in a few months.
They have my dream job, btw.... but Orlando is too far for me...

Alligator missing half its jaw 'not out of the woods yet' after vet exam, Gatorland says

The alligator that's been making headlines for the past few weeks because of its missing upper jaw now has a new home at Gatorland. She's “not out of the woods yet,” though, according to the wildlife preserve.
