Do you use Windows H8?

I have just spent 3 days offline trying to put windows 7 on my PC. Unfortunately it appears that the tie-in between hardware and software has got to rediculous proportions. It appears that there are no drivers for my computer for windows 7.

I have managed to cobble the system back together, but it runs like a 286.


The reason for me changing is that there is no windows 8 support for any of my frequency generators, my oscilloscope or any other test equipment. So, what are your experiences of the OS that should remain nameless......
 
We have people bugging the crap out of us at work to Upgrade them to W8, me personally i won't ever upgrade to it, if i want a Ipad interface i will get a Ipad, it seems fairly pointless to me. I have done some basic troubleshooting with it and it doesn't seem intuitive at all.
 

Well, I got it because it came on my new computer. I did not want to reformat, I was enjoying my computer.....

However, W8 has some problems with communications, most of my test equiment and my cad mouse will not run under W8.

It is a system beset with problems. Also, I am a windows fan, I do want want a pseudo apple GUI. If I want Apple, I would buy a MAC, not a PC....

anyhow, heard on the news this morning that Microsoft are dropping W8 because of customer complaints......
