Yeah I also believe titor's name is fake. If I was gonna be a time traveler, I'd fake my name too just to protect my younger self from the total insane nutballs all this subject matter attracts.

I agree that Titor is much likely a pseudonym used for numerous reasons as mentioned.

But, think about it. If he did it right, we will possibly never know his real name. He just made sure, as DH1 is suggesting, that no one will disturb his younger self or whatever. I think that would be a pretty good reason, right?
