What is the historical journey of the trading of $1000 bills over the years?

Ask John. Or GPT. These bills only have collector value. How many of these were ever printed and how many have been surrendered?
 
Those bills existed in a time where that was the BEST way for banks to make large payments. It's so much easier to carry 10 one thousand dollar bills, than to have a pocket bulging with 100 hundred dollar bills..

Now that we have electronic transfers and shit, we no longer have a true.need for the mint to keep pressing these bills.

But how can brats flash their wealth if their pockets are not overflowing with cash? Carry coins like homeless people or tell people to come closer for a surprise in their pants?
