In the predicted timeline where the supreme court decided to not interfere, the Republican frontrunner Donald Trump was urged to withdraw by the party and then withdrew only to let Ron DeSantis lose against the opponent Joe Biden from not getting enough swing votes.

In our timeline where the supreme court threw out the cases against Trump without a trial, the Democratic frontrunner Joe Biden was urged to withdraw by the party and then withdrew. If this strange symmetry continues, it will be Donald Trump winning against Kamala Harris due to her being the last minute second choice.

Gavin Newsom is biding his time because his hype is still growing, but if Kamala Harris loses the 2024 election, he may become a frontrunner in 2028. If Trump has not abolished democracy completely, Gavin Newsom could have a landslide victory because of the hole left in the Republican party once Trump can not apply for a third run. If the supreme court would say that Trump can be king for life, it would trigger a military coup against the white house.
