STRUCTURE OF ALIEN SOCIETY
Buildings are rounded, think of the capitol records building in LA and how it seems. Basically, they are not like the harsh blocky cubical structures that on earth we see. Most alien buildings have circuar forms and look more organic. Everything has a lack of sharp edges and it looks soft like melted wax. People have told me that it is like an old ball of soap.
Inside these circular buildings we have round tables - think of King Arthur and the royal knights of the empire. Aliens sit in chairs around the outer circle of the round table and they are given a stick that they hold up in their hand while they talk for one minute and they pass the stick on. The next person in line talks for one minute and so it goes. If a person speaks out of turn, they receive a warning. If they do it again... they are kicked out of the group. Everybody gets to talk in the world of the venari. In contrast, humans see the executive talk for hours and hours at a meeting and every one else is told to shut up. Round tables help instill the idea that all persons are equal in power. It is like a bee hive with no queen.
Bees do not have a mean boss telling them how to gather nectar or what chores they need to perform, but the work gets done any way. Social insects are a success. When all work together, each member has a larger chance of surviving. Drones are like our executives who eat a lot, but produce zero. Bees kick the drones out of the hive because they are a drag on the group. All members are expected to produce and work toward a common purpose.
