Alternate universe

I believe that the Pied Piper of Hamelin is about travel to an alternate universe. The children were taken to another place. Probably the sounds from the pipe open a portal to another realm using sonic resonance.

Here is the Walt Disney version in French - my French is very poor. However, the French in this video is very basic and I could understand a lot of what they were saying.

IMHO, to perform any task such as opening portals relies upon a huge amount of amplitude or power within the correct sound frequency.
Its not as simple as a trained opera singer smashing a glass when she hits a certain frequency with her voice, or the Pied Piper entrancing a load of rats or children ..
