Are ear muffs a way to escape the matrix? Or are they a way to keep us from hearing the truth of the world around us? Debate

I have been wondering this for a long long time.

I know people wear them in the winter months to keep their ears warm. I used to have a pair that protected my ears from loud sounds. I would wear them when going down to the gun shooting range. And also when I was using my power saw indoors.

Never have I worn them for the choices you provided though.
