I figure it's too late and I'm not really doing anything confidential. They already know all my interests and favorite sites. Using a VPN, for me, would be pointless, IMHO.

Yeah, same for me. I've used Google for years and now I use their VPN. They already know 100% of what they have to know about me. Too late! lol

Has any considered say for example your neighbor hacked into your home network and was browsing or conducting activites against the law.... In the way having a VPN becomes a slightly different discussion.
