Bigfoot is real because I've seen him while camping with my friend. We where fishing at night when we heard this weird noise coming from across the lake we looked across to the other side and saw a dark hairy shadowy figure with big feet standing at the edge of the water it got down on its knees and took a sip of the water with its hands then got up and walked away up the hill.[/b]

WOW, that's interesting. How'd you describe that "weird sound" from the bigfoot you saw?

Re: big foot

What I hate about these people who claim to have seen "bigfoot" is that they say they have seen it, described it, smelled it and heard it scream. Then they say "we had our camera but didn't think of using it until we realized what we are seeing." Then when they do use their cameras, it's either shaky or the creature is far away and blury behind trees and branches. Then they decide to zoom in to the creature, knowing very well that when you zoom in, the shakiness will tend to be worse.

If these people know that they are going to the woods and are expecting bigfoot or something out of this world, take a tripod and always have your camera handy. Sorry, but The only one video that I think might be real is the Patterson and one where there is this large creature sitting on the snow watching some foot tracks, then getting up and following it.

What I would do is place a lot of cameras with motion sensors on some trees, also some audio recorders, around the wooded area. Put some GPS indicators to know where you've placed these cameras and see what turns out. It is not that hard. I've seen some people do this, but they've only used two or three motion cameras.

I really do hope someone videotapes and snaps some great proof.

Re: big foot

Could be a, obviously rare, but long living hibernating creature, comes out for very little time before sheltering as high up as possible ?

Let's be honest, if you're out camping, who in their right mind would go near a large bear like creature ? No me.

Which leaves people actually out on the hunt, is gonna be very hit or miss to get a sighting before the hunt can start, if anybody actually goes BigFoot hunting nowadays ?

Re: big foot

@Enigmawriter: Do you really really think you will be as "brave" as it takes to take a picture at a 7~10 ft. tall creature when you're just in front of it? i mean... there are some reports about Bigfoot pursuing people in the mountains with little or no humor. Would you be a volunteer to be hunted by one? :p I don't think so (at least I'd prefer to run ;) ).

I'd prefer not to crucify eyewitnesess for not taking good pictures. Sometimes you see something like that and get instantly petrified. By the time you are able to get your camera, that "strange thing" may be far away ;)

Re: big foot

I would think if Mr. Bigfoot has any manners at all, you could simply ask him to hold still why you got one picture of him!!

Enigmawriter,

Sorry, but the Patterson film was shown to be a hoax a couple years ago.

Many here may disagree, but the way it was was they found the spot where it was filmed and the described size of the creature on the film didn't even come close to what they measured using the trees and things it strode past on the film. Additionally, primate specialists had always discounted the film based on what they could see on it.

I know that this doesn't mean the film was an out and out lie, but it's pretty much been dismissed because of these facts.

If any of you know Bigfoot, don't tell him I said this.

Hi Harte,

As you were aware, there are a few of us that beleive that the Patterson video hasn't really been debunked. Of course, it hasn't truly been authenticated yet either! Is seems as though more proof is needed one way or the other. Here is some info from the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization (BFRO). You can find the complete report here:
Why does the news media always trumpet every half-baked \"man in the costume\" story that comes along without asking for the obvious proof, which should be so simple to provide?

Re: big foot

Following modern_day_tt's post, here is the BBC's approach to the "costume" of the Patterson Video.

Re: big foot

True, but I never said the Patterson film was real, I just mentioned that it MIGHT BE real. But, I'm sure there is probably some real proof out there, thing is, the person might have been attacked by the bogfoot and the proof is gone. Heck, I'd like to go bigfoot hunting, it;d be a great experience. IF the bigfoot comes to attack me, we'll probably blow it away. or tranquilize it if it isn't harmful.
