Blindness prevails, ignorance dominates!!!
Fascism was invented few kilometers far from my house
. Well, of course I'm not defending Mussolini, but fascism was quite different from nazism and people tend to wrongly mix them. Both had an imperialistic approach, but Hitler was far more concerned about the "vital room" for German people, meaning he wanted to conquer Europe and "germanizing" it. They felt they were superior to other countries, while Mussolini never thought of that... maybe because Italian don't like any imperialism, and we didn't ever supported that adventure in Africa (our heart was with Africans! )
Anyway, fascism is similar to communism when it comes on organizing society, but it gives rooms to corporations and religion. A good definition was given some month ago by a White House consulent living in Italy (he's famous here and always on TV, sorry can't recall the name):
"Yes, we Americans hate dictatures. But you know, there are differences: when a dictature is communist or socialist we intervene to stop it, but if the dictator don't touch private property or business, well, we can close an eye or human rights and let him rule."
I was almost falling from my chair. That's a perfect definition of the difference between communism and fascism from the "american interests" perspective.
