Can "objects" be haunted?

I have a basement. I will have them moved down there and cover them up (to keep them clean).

I guess it can't hurt to put salt around them.....

As well as things such as personal and not so personal objects such as articles of clothing, weapons, etc. that one might find in various places. Most gun shows that I attend, the sellers will note that this or that "object", especially handguns that are more for show than sell, some shown, taking the owner at his/her word, for one example, seems to relocate itself in the display case in which it resides. It dates back to the mid 1960s but cannot be verified as used in the Civil War but it was used, for ,perhaps, reasons best not known. So yes, "objects" can have "something" attached to them, perhaps from previous owners, from where and how they/it was/were made, and so on. I guess the old "buyer beware"concept might have taken on a meaning that perhaps wasn't intended when the phrase was coined.
