All of my life I have listened to metal and rap music. Last 5 years I have worked in rap music over the last year and a half I have become disillusioned the way that industry has gone so now I am making my own metal label.

Awhile ago I was at my friends house and was going to put in a metal cd to listen to. His live in G/F told me not too since Metal invites evil spirits. I sort of brushed it of as I do with stuff that really doesn't make any sense to me.

One thing I do sometimes is I put my PS3 on and put my TV on mute so I can listen to documentaries on YT. One documentary I ran into was this:

I don't know if anyone has seen this but if anyone has or will I would like to have a discussion about it. There are parts 2 and 3 but this is the most interesting. The channel that put it out almost all their videos are filled with hate, ignorance and misinformation(IMO)

Bad, dark evil music definitely invites evil spirits into the mind and body. I have believed that my whole life. Many horrific acts of murder and violence were committed while someone was listening to bad music. Over the years, I've read and heard of several accounts where this happened. It's been so long, I don't recall specifics, but you could research it.

Charles Manson was influenced to conspire the atrocities that he did by the Beatles song "Helter Shelter", and that is not even considered bad by today's means. That actually is not the best example, but that's the only one I can think of at the moment.

I wish I could go into more detail, but it's not something I've researched or read about recently, but it's definitely true.

Also, in Near Death Experience (NDEs - where a person dies and then comes back to life) accounts of visiting Heaven, people have described Heavenly music that is too beautiful to even describe. Likewise, some NDEs visit Hell. So there is also hellish music on earth that is an instrument used by the evil one to corrupt minds of people.

Music is, music, is music... What music you listen to is not what affects the person or the mind. The words and the intent of the music may, but only if "you" let it. Satan, the Devil, Beelzebub, or any other name you want to give him, does not own any type of music. Can music be a tool of the Devil? I suppose chocolate could be a tool of the Devil, if a person allows it to be. My point is, It is up to you, the individual, and your own relationship with God, that determines what affect anything has on you. Many horrific acts of murder and violence were committed during the era of Bach and Mozart. I wasn't there but I doubt it was the music's fault (although there may be some who would argue that ).
If you enjoy the music and, you don't want to kill someone after listening to it, I say go for it.

I'm sorry to say it but yes music can be a serious doorway for foul spirits and a tool for brainwashing and programming. Google 'the truth about hip hop.' I have lost count of the number if people who are so close to achieving a strong relationship with God but absolutely refuse to give up His spot in their hearts for Beyonce.

Looks like no one watched the video I posted but it doesn't matter I will say this about it.

Those people did horrible research just simply horrible research about metal.

First of like 90% of the bands they covered are metal core and death core & aren't even death or black metal which would have been easier targets to attack and provide info on.

Instead of attacking bands like Born of Osiris, Faceless, Veil Of Maya they could have attacked bands like Deicide, Behemoth, Mayhem etc.... to make a more convincing argument.......

Deicide lead vocalist has an upside down cross carved into his forehead and is known for his debates with bob larson in the 90s

Mayhem's lead vocalist in the late 80's was obsessed with death which ultimately lead him to commit suicide(he had a NDE as a kid and I guess it messed him up)

I'm just saying about the documentary if you're going to attack something do credible research and not quote people like John Lennon when you're talking about metal

IDK if music makes you closer to evil or what not in 27 years of listening to metal and rap I have not came in contact with any such evil spirits that I know of.

You asked a question. We all answered. Don't get mad because it isn't the answer you liked. I know personally that I don't need to watch any documentary. The music I have heard doesn't feel right to me. Then people i see who listen tonight religiously let it consume their persona and every aspect of their lives. I distinctly remember some of my 'friends' at age of 9-10 being obsessed with rock and metal, and along with that was drugs, anger and sex. Does the music create those feelings and actions? Not in all cases. Are some people more open to the influences? Most definitely. I have found myself largely immune because of my own faith and convictions but I cannot say that for the people in my life.

Music is powerful. More powerful than a lot of people give it credit for. But the people producing and selling it know it as almost as potent if not more so than drugs.

I wasn't attacking any particular group. I'm not even familiar with the names of those groups, because I don't listen to those kinds of sounds (it's not music to me). I'm not researching this subject, because I already know what bad sounds do to people. It's very emotionally disturbing to me when I pass by a car that's blasting that kind of garbage (that's what it is to me). It disturbs my whole entire being.

I agree with Trekie, You asked for our opinions and now you're not happy with our replies. Not trying to be mean here...I'm just sayin'.
