@Einstein - I will definitely try something when I change history, but you can't please everyone. You may not agree, but I think capitalism in its pure sense is the best for the world, just like the Founding Fathers intended. What we've been witnessing from the actions of the federal government is not true capitalism, but that interwoven with communism/socialism/totalitarianism. And, obviously, nations do have to go through some sort of tough times for the good to ultimately conquer the evil. You can believe what you choose, but I just feel that IMO your ideas are a little too radical.

@tflofasho - Take my word for it: A Gore presidency would almost certainly lead to disastrous consequences for the U.S. For one, Gore is a Democrat, and most of today's Democrats are either communists or socialists.

@TimeFlipper - You have excellent ideas for dealing with things in the here and now. I'm just speculating: We are entitled to both a popular Bush presidency and a popular Trump presidency, are we not?

Yes of course i agree that you are entitled to speculate on the Presidency of Bush, but until you find the way (and i know you will) to go back in time, im thinking if we collectively use our thoughts to get Trump into the Presidency, we can help the US to better times financially and who it allows into the country :)...Anyway some member very soon will go back to the thread you created for us mate and i will be overlooked lol :D

For your information, regarding the 2000 presidential election, I've recently done a project, in which I have George W. Bush winning 36 states, and Al Gore winning 14 states as well as the District of Columbia. I used an electoral vote calculator, and based on the states I switched from Gore to Bush, Bush comes out with 338 electoral votes, and Gore with 200. That's just a rough estimate, but it serves as a comfortable electoral victory for Dubya.

This was just for some fun, though.
