Going back to your birth, two options for memory.

Apparently I have an innate ability to access knowledge that is not the normal path. I go to sleep with a question on my mind and will always wake up the next morning with an answer or a way to obtain the answer. Occasionally some questions do not have answers. I commonly call this method the cheaters way.

Im some ways you might be describing a way you have found to link back to what you have already learnt or acquired before hand?

If it was knowledge from a prior existence, that existence wasn't as a mortal.

I do know with the help of a hypnotist you might be able to recall past lives. I have read accounts of people that have done so.
