I did read the book years ago. The PDF is here:

Actually, I am interested in the Montauk horse statue in 6037 AD.

It stands in the town square. There is a clock in its belly for some reason.

Why did they send blond children to 6037 AD and a city in ruins.

Im not certain as to why the Montauk boys were sent there, obviously they were of Arryan stock and many "sleepers" were supposedly introduced into society for the purpose of helping mankind in the events of a catastrophe, but i dont believe they were the Montauk boys that we are discussing..
I get the feeling that they were sent to see the golden horse to receive satanic instructions and then became mind controlled, after which each of the boys would return and be sent around the world to become leaders of different nations with the sole intent of making the world an Arryan race..
6037 AD might be the year our dimension ceased to exist, but that date is "suspended" in time for only a short period until the right boys have been found to become these leaders...The Golden horse might be a future symbol for satan and the clock represents the amount of time thats left for him to rule this dimesion of ours...but obviously he wants to remain much longer by manipulating time-travelling...Even satan himself has to follow "rules" but he wont mind "bending" them a little...
But as usual i could be hopelessly wrong! :)
