Today's Hollywood mainstream hits " for the most part " can not capture the creativity and intensity of independent horror film creators/producers. Every once in a while the audience gets a treat.
my dream is to have a significant other who shares the same depth of horror flicks as I do.
Ive seen many independent film studios produce magnificent horror shorts within a 25 minute time period like Zygote (posted above I think) that just puts these Hollywood contraptions to shame.
A match made in heaven " which is why stranger things is a blockbuster hit " would be scifi and horror. These two pair like life needs air . Like happiness needs grief.
