I watched this video (as well as reading many of the comments about it over at YouTube) and perhaps I'm an old stick-in-the-mud, but I think this "artist" only became an artist after the fact. I believe that his intention was much the same as some of those who have visited Paranormalis -- to perpetrate a hoax upon the unsuspecting for his own amusement.
I don't think it's funny -- or art -- or much of anything else, to be honest.
