I think I might be a time traveller...

Re: I think I might be a time traveller...

Something really weird that I remember is Alec Guinness dying when I was in about 5th grade. It would have been... Maybe 96 or 97. I specifically remember talking to my friends at school about it because a lot of them were really sad that it happened, and I remember not really caring because I wasn't a big Star Wars fan at the time.

Then I hear that he died in 2000 on the TV after it "really" happened, and no one I talk to remembers anything contrary to that...

Re: I think I might be a time traveller...

I know I am a time traveler and have lived past live(s). Odd things have happened to me throughout my life. My being on this site is odd because it began with a search for Tomain poisioning. But with my recent experiences I am no longer suprised because I know that I was led to this site purposefully. I have been looking for an outlet to discuss my recent time traveling experience.

The first time I met my current boyfriend he seemed very familar, the second time I met him I was struck very strongly with the thought "I know him and I know that I know him from a previous life". After knowing him for several years he said to me that the first time we met he knew we knew each other from a previous live. Our birthdays are 4 days apart and in the same year. We are so much alike it is eerie - on a regular basis we say the exact same thing. But our most recent experience goes so far beyond that and I continue to be freaked out.

<span style=\'font-family:Verdana\'>My boyfriend appeared to be a transmitter and he remembers nothing except that he said Christopher Reeve would die (which is weird because we were not drunk) and I remember everything in detail. I remembered back to that evening and initially thought \"Oh my god, my boyfriend is psychic\". Then, I started to remember that night and know exactly what was about to happen to me (like a time delay). It included every detail for approx 2 weeks and continued intermittently for about another 2 months. For example, a police car pulled up behind me and I remembered that it would be a female officer - I looked in the rear view mirror and sure enough. Another example was that I was going to look at carpeting and mapped out several carpet stores - knowing that I was to go to them in a certain order I tried to change the order but I could not - I was at the corner and I just had to go to the one that I was supposed to go to first. I was scared because I had never had anything like this happen - I hated every minute of it and did everything I could to try to make it stop. For some reason I knew that I should take notes as to what was happening but have not been able to look at them since because I am still kinda freaked out. A couple months later I was passing by a psychic faire and stopped in. I was still trying to \"test\" what happened so I purposely said nothing of my experience. Two \"psychics\" were bogus bit one of the psychics there started to tald to me about that night and said that in a previous life I had been a scientist that studied time travel. She started laughing and said that she saw that I was scared and thought I was traped in a time warp (again - I hadn\'t said a word about my experience). She said that I got scared because when I was doing experiments about time travel in my previous life someone walked in on the experiment and I thought I was trapped in a time warp then. She said I was doing the experiments with someone else (who I now believe was my current boyfriend. So again, I was really freaked out, said nothing and left (I stupidly didn\'t even get her name). </span>

I haven't said anything about this to anyone except other than my boyfriend and one other friend because I'm afraid people will think I am certifiably crazy. I was relieved to see the info on Allison Dubouis (from Medium fame) because it lends creditability to my experience. I read her book and it brought me comfort. So isn't it weird that on a web search for Tomain posioning I landed here - but with every fiber of my being I know that I was led here. I would be interested in hearing others stories.

That's a cool story. Very weird. What's with the white flash of light? Did you know where it happened?

TIMESCAPE,

Is your avatar from a movie and if so, what is the name of it? It looks cool.

I've had strange little jumps in time. None that I can recall recently, but several years ago I was riding my bike when I woke up on somone's lawn. I was wearing my helmet and my bike was on the side of the road. I couldn't have simply fallen off my bike and gotten so far from it without being moved. It was a little scary actually.

Because the civil war was such a traumatic experience it is easier to remember. We remember being taken to the hospital in an ambulance but not the previous day when we lost the kite because the string broke.

The high level of distress tends to fix the memory. That said, you can try to find out if the events you recall are written down in a history book. You will find that old history books written in the 1800's are more accurate than the new "politically correct" history books written now. Try to get one whose author was around back then.

One question about that time.
Did you notice that people back then were a lot nicer and friendlier than now? :)

Re: I think I might be a time traveller...

Hey there, in regards to the first post in this topic, it is possible you were as you say 'sucked through time'. (I will try and answer any questions i leave open from my answers therefore i wont need to reply to any questions about this post)

Im not introducing myself as a 'TT' (i think thats the nom you use for time travellers), for the simple reason that I have seen what happens on this messaging board, and many others. Hundreds of questions and then eventually being called a hoax etc.

Therefore im just going to explain the reason for what you experienced, and hope i attention doesnt come of me.

(Roughly) A few years before I was born (in 2063), an old man who was BIG in the technology business went craum, and tried to over rule everyone. He designed and built a device that used the power of time to help in his cause. No one actually found out what it did because when he used it, it sent a purge through time, distorting time for a few seconds in random places everywhere.

The scientists of my time say they still arent sure how this affected everything, or maybe they are like your high council now and keep everything hidden, but they are completely sure that it did force 'lifelines' to cross.

I dont know the best way to explain it, so you'll have to bare with me.

Each and every person has their 'lifeline'. This starts when new life is created, and ends when that life is deceased. Creating a purge through time and it made what you could call the entity of people to appear in other lifelines. Thus making you have these memories. The 'Purge' happened at different times for different people.. and only affected a small number of people.

Yes, i know you are thinking that maybe this would disrupt the future.. but that is where you are wrong. My memories from a child are very vague, but i remember being told about the interconnections. The best way to explain this is to imagine this:

You are born today 2005
you live for 15 years then go back to 1995
you could then literally see youself be born

Since time travel technology has advanced, so has human understanding of it.

People would look at the craum few sentances above and think.. but if you stopped the mother from having the baby, what would happen to you? The answer is very simple. You and everything you have done would cease to exist, and everything would change to how the world would be without you.
The easiest way to understand this, would be the following:

You walk into your house with your friend who you just met at the clubhouse (?is that the correct word for this?? -- place where you drink alcohol and socialise). He then takes you back to his house, and on the way you smash a visor. Afterwards you and your friend go back in time, and kill your previous self while he is on the way to the clubhouse. (PS. I dont mean to be so dramatic! Sorry if anyone gets offended)

This would suddenly set off a chain reaction in the lifelines because your lifeline has been 'cutoff' halfway through. Therefore, everything you have done after your previous self changes to how it would be if you werent there.
Your friend would probably still be in the clubhouse, the visor would be normal, and your current self would completely vanish without a trace, as if you didnt exist after your previous self died. Apparantly this is supposed to be the most painless death you can experience, but no-one really knows.

Sorry about this long post. Im going to be here for quite a long time.

Hope this helps

-Dom
