the one commonly known as JESUS is said to have walked the land of the USA, and is spoken of in the ledgends of most native tribes. I have been hearing this since I was a kid from my grandpa, but never was able to find any real proof of it written down any where. untill now or at least some one person other than grandpa has heard it too and wrote about it. most of the storya told to me are here. at this site.

Thanks for the link. I did enjoy the read.
I have a HS friend that is a Seneca.
He has brought this topic up in some discussions.
Personally, I believe the stories.
Does make you look at Christianity a little differently though.

Many times I have heard that Jesus walked among the Native Americans and forewarned of the white man coming, but I never got to read anything on the subject. This is a great find! Thanks so much for posting the link and info! :)

I have ordered this book through the Library. If it's not listed in the Library Catalogue, request it at the Reference Desk through an 'Inter-Library Loan'.

Now that topic will send many a minister screaming right up the walls, esp. here in the South, not a place known for liberal Biblical interpertations aside from the KJ Version, that is.:cautious: I have lived in American all my life, traveled widely fron borders to borders, and I can't say I have ever heard of this "tale", I'll not call it a "myth", just out of respect for the supposedly "main character". There periods of Christ's life that are not cited in the Gospels, roughtly from about age 8-29 or 30, when He begab His "preaching".(There's a Latin word for that but I can't recall it and it is more accurate). If the time frame is after His returning into Heaven and coming back to earth to do whatever, I must reject this thought and any and all works putting forth such spurious notions.:ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: God, where is the Inquisition when you need it:cautious: ?

This would have taken place AFTER the Resurrection. Jesus died for everyone in every nation. I have read many accounts where Jesus has appeared to people of other countries. Over the years, I've heard so many stories about Jesus coming to Native Americans, I definitely believe it.

White people can be so arrogant. They often think they have an exclusive on everything, even God...especially white racists in the South.

http://mama.indstate.edu/users/nizrael/jesusrefutation.html There isn't much evidence to suggest Jesus even walked the Earth in the past, let alone America.

On the contrary. The evidence is right here:

I find it hard to believe indigenous peoples were truly interested in the white man's religion.

This is exactly what I was talking about when I said, "Jesus died for everyone in every nation. I have read many accounts where Jesus has appeared to people of other countries.
