List of things that suggest we live in a made-up world/universe

I was thinking about this the other day. If our world or universe was somehow created by something or someone, there should be signs here and there, right? What kind of things can we notice that are kind of obvious, so to speak? Things that are hidden in plain sight.

Here are a couple of examples:
  • From down here, the moon is exactly the same size as the sun. What are the odds?
  • Pretty much every lifeform we know is incredibly special, complex, and perfect in so many regards. Is evolution a colossal series of accidents?
  • Consciousness. How did it appear? How did it happen for the first time? Accidental evolution?
  • No matter how big or small you go in scale, it's all the same shapes and constructs. Atoms look like tiny solar systems. Neuronal networks in the brain look like clusters of galaxies. A cell looks like a universe. Same with fractals. It's everywhere, big and small.

What other things in the world look too convenient to you, to be the result of nature and luck?

Feel free to share, I'm curious to know what you'll come up with. :alien:

Imperfection does exist. Look at humans. They did a pretty crappy job with all of these medical problems.

Mainly because evolution takes time to adapt for inventions. Candy -> obesity, chairs -> back problems, fast transportation -> new allergies, new chemicals -> pregnant children, houses -> mental illness, stressful jobs -> chronical pain, free market competition -> poverty, books -> "reading disorder", schools -> "learning disorder"

I didn't think of that. Some say back problems exist because we are still evolving and we aren't quite ready to stand up so straight.
Maybe that's why so many have the tendancy to slouch. We definitely weren't made to sit in a chair all day. But there are many medical problems with no cause -- genetic diabetes, thyroid, etc. Are you saying it's all due to evolution? Will there be a point where humans are finished and all the problems go away?

"Consciousness. How did it appear?" - definitely life's biggest mystery. Will androids become self aware or did God create consciousness? Is it the soul or the brain? Some say plants are self aware, although most seem to react to environmental conditions.
This will be the mystery that is never solved.

Evolution adapts us to our environment, but as builders and inventors, we quickly change our environment. We are happy and healthy close to nature, but got many new diseases from evolution not catching up with sugar, unbalanced fast food diets, writing, et cetera. Once we have fully evolved to read, we will have perfect recall, but by then reading will be obsoleted by the next technology.
