This minuteman project could very much complicate things for Bush. He's trying to get another war going with Iran and/or Syria but the public is already unhappy with things in general. Now, he's come out as opposing citizens who are trying to help close the borders. While under other circumstances another terrorist attack in the US, seen as "inevitable", might galvanize public support for further mid-east invasion, if it were to happen soon might have the opposite effect. That is, he would probably be blamed for not preventing the attack. If a majority of Americans decided that defending the homeland was more important than attacking another country, and if he tried to force it anyway, an uprising could happen pretty quickly. I realize I'm dealing with a lot of "what ifs" but would be intersted in your thoughts.

Well, that could happen, it depends on what the terrorists decide to do. I think that our next terrorism incident will be domestic. At least a certian group such as the minutemen will be labeled as domestic terrorists. They stand in the way of the bipartisan plan to turn the entiety of North America into one pollitical and economic bloc. Also, the Schivo case has stirred up a great potential for domestic terror acts.

I think it has also created a space for foolish politicians to shine not so brightly as only they can, and for people to start thinking for themselves rationally as opposed to settleing for kneejerk reactions like violence. Remember how the media likes to blow things out of proportion regardless of the facts....

You know that feeling that you get as the roller coster is clanking up that first hill if you don't like costers? You are strapped in and moving toward that inevitable chaotic, terrifying ride that starts at the top of the hill. Thats where we're at right now. The calmer heads should have done something while we were still standing in line.

i feel like bush and his mhs (ministry of homeland security) will use this to make examples out of the minuteman volenteers, as per their precious patriot act 1, and 2 . and hopefully ,like a theif in the night most of amerika will wake up and decide that they should do something now and abandon this coddleing of evangellical zionist,exrtreme right wing agenda that is a terrorist threat of our own making that is more dangerous to this nation than any of forign geography

Hopefully? Man, I gave up hope a while back. My experience has been that most people not only DON'T KNOW, they damn sure DON'T WANT TO KNOW, and will get mad at you for trying to tell them. But hey, keep the faith. Most of the sheeple will go to the slaughter willingly. You don't have to.

Funny as I'm writing this, a movie on USA network ("10.5" is the name) is showing the brave lads of FEMA trying to rescue the country by detonating nukes underground to prevent a catastrophic earthquake from "redifining" the geography of California. The movie is repleat with FEMA camps where dislocated citizens can take comfort with the military that has set up "relief areas" I know, I know, it's way conspiracy theory, but is this "programming" for what's to come? Is art imitating life? Wow. I'd never even heard of this movie, and its a major stink bomb. I know, USA network does its share of showing stink bombs, but why now? Yeeha. Disregard this paragraph is you're either getting paranoid or laughing too much. LOL

is it just were i live,or does everyone ,notice the low flying heicopters on a daily mission, i don,t know whether to be concerend or paranoid, and not just once a day either!:unsure:

I've noticed a lot of copters lately, and heard what may be fighter planes too. Reminds me of right after 9/11.
